    local ales

Had an unforgettable stay with quirky decor, comfy bed, and charming ambiance. The pub grub bolstered by local ales is simply top-notch! A perfect retreat for anyone craving a unique experience.

Felt like it was a home away from home, no complaints whatsoever.

I enjoyed a rustic retreat at The Compasses. Unique decor and a cozy atmosphere complemented the excellent local ales. Only downside was the occasional noise from staff during mornings. Perfect proximity to Leez Priory for a nearby wedding made my stay even better.

    thoughtfully designed room
    charming decor
    warm ambiance
    poor lighting
    accessibility concern

The Compasses offered a warm, welcoming ambiance with charming decor. The accessible room I stayed in was thoughtfully designed, featuring a spacious wet room equipped with rails, making it perfect for senior guests like myself.

Better lighting around pathways would be helpful.

Each room features unique decor and the staff provides friendly service. There’s a bit of remote location trouble with no street lighting at night. Good for cyclists with a nice outdoor area for relaxing.

great access to parks and charming local attractions

I truly enjoyed my stay with welcoming warm clean rooms that opened directly onto the garden, making it easy to take relaxing strolls in the fresh air, and the food was hearty local fare that hit the spot after a day of exploring nearby landmarks like the Old Brewery just 1 km away and the Parish Church, which is about 3.5 km away, giving me plenty to discover with just a nice walk.
